Hand crafted knots & Sustainable Macrame
Reviews
Ana Ruiz
I am Ana and I turned to Macrame as a way to manage my stress & anxiety during the outbreak of Corona Virus. I found this ancient art of knotting very relaxing. I found a form of expression in Macrame and a new passion that became a small business.
Khipu is the name of one of the first forms of counting in the world. It was created by the Incas, an ancient culture from South America and it consisted of different types of knots made on different pieces of string that were attached to a main stick of string.
Being from Peru myself and making my art through the use of knots, I thought named my shop Khipus Macrame would be an honor to my ancestors
I hope you can come along this journey with me creating new pieces and collections for you all. I truly appreciate every one of you that supports my small business.
